My name is Mike Gates. I am Christian writer, speaker and worship guitarist. I gave my life to Jesus in September 1995 after a radical encounter with God. That same year I married my wife Kim and also God called me into the ministry. Since then I have served in church leadership positions as a pastor, youth pastor, prison ministry, worship, media production and men\u2019s life\/circle groups. I love to travel and I have done ministry throughout the U.S., Jamaica, Canada and Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My wife and I have 3 children and 7 grandchildren. We are co-founders of \u201cOpen Gates Ministries\u201d, a prophetic ministry with a vision to ignite hearts with the love of God. We both have a passion to see lives changed, saved, healed and delivered by God. I love spending time with my family, playing guitar, reading, and writing. My favorite scripture is Philippians 3:10 “that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,”. We attend church at Jesus Alive Ministries<\/a> where we also serve on the worship team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I am currently writing a memoir about my life with serving God.
